"Your life is always moving in the direction of your strongest thoughts."

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

"The life you have is a reflection of the thoughts you have. Most of life's battles are won or lost in the mind."

Reframing - Creating a different way of looking at a situation, person or relationship by changing its meaning. You can't control what happens to you, but you can control how you frame it.

Philippians 1:12-14
Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.

I. Thank God For What Didn't Happen

1 Thessalonians 5:18
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

II. Practice Pre-Framing

"Our thoughts or 'frames' shape what we experience."

Romans 8:5
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.

Romans 12:2
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

COLOSSIANS 3:2
Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].

III. Look For God's Goodness

ROMANS 8:28
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

"Don't interpret God through your circumstances, but instead interpret your circumstances through the goodness of God"

Dear God,
Thank you for protecting us, for guiding us, and for drawing us closer to you, especially when we can't see it. You are so good to us and are worthy of all of our worship, affection and time that we could give you. Holy Spirit, empower and lead us as we reframe our thinking to embrace and live out a life seeing your goodness and faithfulness at work.
In Jesus' Name, Amen

OUR OMNIPOTENT GOD'S GOT YOU
